Head of Centre for Collaborative Autonomous Systems, and Associate Professor of Control Theory and Technology at the Department of Electrical and Photonics Engineering, DTU.
He received his M.Sc. degree in Electronic Engineering in 2005 from Università Politecnica delle Marche (Italy), and he obtained the Ph.D. degree in Automation and Control in 2010 from the Technical University of Denmark. He was postdoctoral fellow at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology and at the Technical University of Denmark in the period 2009-2011. He researches the field of advanced control and estimation theory, with focus on resilient autonomous marine systems. His research contributions are in motion control, sensor fusion, motion planning, fault diagnosis and fault-tolerant control. He chairs the Technical Committee on Marine Systems at the International Federation of Automatic Control.
