EDF Best Practice Group

A Danish experience-sharing forum established in 2023 to strengthen national participation in the European Defence Fund (EDF).

The EDF Best Practice Group brings together actors with direct experience in EDF projects as well as key members of the Danish EDF support ecosystem. Participants include companies and research institutions involved in funded projects, support staff from EU regional offices and industry organisations, and representatives from the Danish Ministry of Defence and the Danish Defence Acquisition and Logistics Organisation (DALO).

The group serves as a national platform for knowledge-sharing, early awareness of funding opportunities, and the development of common strategic approaches to EDF. Its goal is to improve Denmark’s overall participation by sharing insights, identifying best practices, and coordinating efforts across stakeholders.

Initially focused on establishing a strong foundation of practical experience and strategic alignment, the group is also the starting point for building a broader Danish EDF stakeholder network in the years ahead.

The Living EDF Guidebook

This guidebook is designed to help Danish companies and research institutions navigate the European Defence Fund (EDF). Whether you’re new to EDF or looking to strengthen your strategic approach, the guide offers practical insights, tools, and checklists for every step of the process — from consortium building to legal, financial, and security requirements.

It is a living document, continuously updated with input from the EDF Best Practice Group and Danish stakeholders.
