Rasmus Dahlberg is an associate professor at the Department of Strategy and War Studies at the Royal Danish Defence College. With a background in history and disaster research, he has published widely on resilience, Black Swans, emergency preparedness, crisis management and contemporary and historical issues in Arctic security. He leads the Center for Societal Security with a special interest in Nordic and Arctic crisis management and emergency preparedness as well as civil-military cooperation. He is PI of the NordForsk-funded research project RESECTOR, which investigates transformations of the sectorial responsibility principle in the Nordics during COVID-19. Besides dull research he publishes works of fiction, including two thriller novels based on Danish national crisis management exercises and a trilogy about how historical disasters would unfold in modern society.
